Amethyst Reverse Hoop Earrings
You wear these simple and unique sterling earrings backwards -- or in reverse. Put them in from the back of your ear toward the front, and the amethyst will hang below. (See last photo for an example of another way to wear them, inserted in the front of your earlobe.)

The earring hoop is approximately 20mm in diameter.
African Amethyst cabochon stones are 5mm.Fine silver settings, and Argentium earwires. Argentium sterling is a tarnish resistant silver alloy, with a higher silver content than normal sterling silver.
Fun fact: Amethyst derives its name from the Greek word ametusthos which means ‘not intoxicated’. For centuries, Amethyst has been thought to be useful in the prevention of drunkenness and overindulgence, which is why ancient Greeks wore amethyst and carved out drinking vessels from it.
