Please note, I strongly recommend that you have your finger professionally sized by a jeweler if you are unsure of your ring size. As stated in my FAQ, pieces will be made based on the measurements you have provided. The information below is a guideline, but it is always more reliable to have your finger sized professionally.
Or, follow these directions to determine your ring size:
- Cut a strip
of paper 5" (12cm) long and 1/4" (7mm)
wide. Heavy paper such as cardstock, index cards or manila file folders work best. Do not use a strip wider than 1/2".
- Wrap the paper strip tightly around the knuckle of
the appropriate finger.
- Use a pen or pencil to
mark the point on the paper where the outside end of the paper
strip overlaps (forming a complete circle). Mark the end from which you started as well.
- With a ruler, carefully measure the length from your starting point to the mark where the paper overlapped. Measure to the nearest millimeter, rounding up if necessary. Be certain to measure the part of the paper that was wrapped around your finger -- don't start measuring from the wrong end! (yes, it has happened)
- Find the
closest measurement on the size chart in millimeters
and look to the left column to find your ring
size.
